Ingredients - 

  1. Rice  -  1 cup - Washed 

  2. Cauliflower - florets - 4-5 

  3. Carrots - chopped - 1

  4. Green beans  - chopped - ¼ cup

  5. Potato - chopped  - 1

  6. Capsicum - 1 - chopped

  7. Green peas - ¼ cup

  8. Onion - finely slit - 1

  9. Vegetable oil -  1 TBSP

  10. Cinnamon stick -  ½ inch -1 

  11. Bay leaf - 1

  12. Black Cardamom - 1 

  13. Star Anise - 1 

  14. Cloves - 2-3 pieces

  15. Black pepper cons - 3-4 pieces

  16. Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Tsp

  17. Hing powder - ½ Tsp

  18. Garam Masala powder - 1 Tsp

  19. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

  20. Red chili powder - 1 Tsp

  21. Coriander seeds powder - 1 Tsp

  22. Cumin seeds powder - 1 Tsp

  23. Salt to taste 

  24. Water  -  2 cups

Method - 

 

  1. In a heavy bottom pot , add vegetable oil. Once hot add cinnamon stick , bay leaf , cumin seeds and hing powder Add onion and saute till they turn translucent. 

  2. Add all the vegetables and mix well.

  3. Add turmeric powder , red chili powder , garam masala powder , coriander seeds powder , cumin seeds powder , salt to taste and mix well.

  4. . Add 2 cups of water. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat. Afterwards lower the heat and simmer on low flame for 20 minutes.
