Allergy-Free Vegetable Jalfrezi Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower florets: 1 cup
  • Carrot: Chopped lengthwise – 1
  • Green capsicum: Cut lengthwise – ½
  • French beans: Cut into ½ inch pieces – ½ cup
  • Green peas: ½ cup
  • Edamame beans: ½ cup
  • Onion: Finely slit – 1
  • Tomato: Finely slit – 1
  • Ginger garlic paste: 1 TBSP
  • Jeera / Cumin seeds: 1 Tsp
  • Turmeric powder: 1 Tsp
  • Red chili powder: 1 Tsp
  • Garam masala powder: 1 TBSP
  • Vegetable oil: 1 Tsp
  • Whole Red chilies: 2-3
  • Salt to taste

Recipe For Vegetable Jalfrezi Method:

  1. Heat a wok / kadai on high heat. Add oil and red chilies.
  2. Add onions and saute for a minute till the onions start changing color.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for another minute.
  4. Add tomato and saute for a minute. Add salt to taste and give a quick mix.
  5. Add cauliflower and carrots. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder. Mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cauliflower and carrot just start to cook.
  6. Add capsicum, french beans, green peas, and mix well. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Add edamame beans (precooked), garam masala powder, and mix well. Cover and cook for another minute. Do not overcook the veggies, we want the crunch in them.
  8. Serve Hot with a side of jasmine rice to get the complete stir fry veggie restaurant style.
