Ingredients For Vegan Tofu Bhurji

  1. Tofu – finely grated – 1 cup
  2. Onion- finely chopped – 1 small
  3. Tomato finely chopped – 1
  4. Green chillies – finely chopped 3-4
  5. Ginger-garlic paste – 1 TBSP
  6. Garam masala powder – 1 TSP
  7. Black mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
  8. Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
  9. Hing powder – 1/4 Tsp
  10. Turmeric powder – 1 Tsp
  11. Vegetable Oil – 1 TBSP
  12. Salt to taste.
  13. Cilantro finely chopped for garnishing.

Method For Preparing Vegan Tofu Bhurji

  1. Heat a Pan on medium flame. Once hot add oil.
  2.  Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter , add the cumin seeds and hing powder.
  3.  Add green chillies.
  4.  Add Onions and saute till they turn translucent.
  5.  Add finely chopped tomatoes and saute well till they turn mushy.
  6.  Add ginger-garlic paste and saute well for another 3-4 minutes or till the raw smell of garlic is gone.
  7.  Add the other masala’s – turmeric powder , garam masala powder . Mix well and saute the masala’s for 3-4 minutes. Add Salt to taste and mix well.
  8.  Add grated tofu. Mix well. Cover and cook the tofu for another 5 minutes.
  9.  Garnish finely chopped cilantro. Serve hot with roti or paratha or naan or bread tastes really good with this bhurji.
