This Bombay Toast Sandwich Recipe is free from:

Allergy-Free Ingredients:

Chutney Recipe Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Cilantro
  • ¼ cup Mint leaves
  • ¼ cup Dalia or Roasted Chana Dal
  • 3-4 Green Chilies
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • Salt to Taste
  • Water (as needed)

Method for Chutney Recipe :

  • Combine all the ingredients in a grinder jar.
  • Add water as needed and grind into a smooth paste.

Sandwich Masala Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Haldi Powder
  • 1 tsp Chat Masala
  • ½ tsp Himalayan Salt

Method For Sandwich Masala:

  • Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight container.

Sandwich Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of Bread (use gluten-free if required)
  • Vegan Butter of your choice
  • Chutney (prepared as per the above recipe)
  • Sandwich Masala (prepared as per the above recipe)
  • 1 Boiled Potato, sliced
  • 1 Cucumber, sliced
  • 1 Green Capsicum, sliced

Method For Sandwich Recipe:

  • Spread vegan butter on one slice of bread and apply a generous amount of chutney on the other slice.
  • Place 2-3 slices of boiled potato, cucumber, and green capsicum on the chutney-coated bread.
  • Sprinkle sandwich masala on the veggies.
  • Cover the sandwich with the buttered bread slice, ensuring the buttered side faces the inside.
  • Apply butter on the outer sides of the sandwich.
  • Roast the sandwich on a hot griddle or tawa until it turns golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot with your choice of chutney and/or ketchup.
