Veg Pulav

Quick , easy , simple recipe. Can be save a rainy day or can be served as a delicacy.

Ingredients:

1. Basmati Rice - 1 cup

2. Mix vegetables of your choice  - 1 cup

3. Shahi Biryani masala - 2 TBSP

4. Water -  2 cups

5. Vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp

6. Salt to taste

7. Jeera / cummin seeds -  1 tsp

8 . Asafoetida - 1/4 Tsp

9 . Turmeric powder  - 1/2 Tsp

Method :

1. I made this in instapot alternative same can be made in pressure cooker.

2. Heat oil . Once oil is hot add cumin seeds ,  asafoetida .

3. Add vegetables saute for 2-3 minutes.

4. Add turmeric powder , shahi biryani masala, salt and mix well.

5. Add rice saute for another 2-3 minutes.

6. Add water mix well.

7. In Instapot cancel the saute mode and pressure cooker mode on high for 6 minutes. Vent closed.

8.Let the steam rest for 10 minutes and then release the stem.

9. If making in pressure cooker , cook for 3 whitsles.

10. Serve hot with raita or dal or papad and pickle.
