Val Papdi Bhaji

Ingredients - 

 

1. Val papdi/ Broad beans  - chopped - 2 cups

2.  Potato - cubed - ½ cup

3. Black mustard seeds - 1 Tsp

4. cumin seeds - 1 Tsp

5. Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp

6. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

7. Red Chilli powder - 1 Tsp

8 . Goda Masala or Garam Masala - 1 TBSP

9. Vegetable Oil - 1 TBSP

10. Salt to taste.

11. Jaggery - ½ Tsp

Method - 

 

1. Heat a Pan on medium flame. Once hot add oil.

2. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter , add cumin seeds and hing powder.

4. Add papdi and potato and mix well.

5. Add turmeric powder , chilli powder, goda or garam masala , salt to taste. Mix well and saute for another 2-3 minutes.

6. Cover and let it cook till veggies are cooked .  

8. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and serve hot with roti or rice.
