 Ingredients For Tomato Onion Koshimbir Recipe 

  1. Tomatoes – 4 – finely chopped
  2. Onion – 1 small – finely chopped
  3. Cilantro – finely chopped – ⅓ cup
  4. Sugar – 1 TSP – optional
  5. Sesame seeds powder – 1 TBSP – optional
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Vegetable oil – 1 Tsp
  8. Jeera / cumin seeds – ½ Tsp
  9. Hing powder – 1/4 Tsp
  10. Curry leaves – 4-5
  11. Green chillies – 1 or 2 as per taste

How To Make Tomato Onion Koshimbir Recipe Step By Step Instructions

  1. Combine the finely chopped tomatoes, onions, sugar, salt, and optionally sesame seeds powder in a mixing bowl.
  2. For the tempering, heat vegetable oil in a pan. Once it’s hot, add cumin seeds, hing powder, green chillies, and curry leaves.
  3. Pour the tempering over the mixture. Stir thoroughly.
  4. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro.
  5. This chutney pairs excellently with parathas, rice dishes, or can be enjoyed as a salad on its own.
