Tomato - Onion Koshimbir 

Goes perfectly as a side for paratha , rice dishes . Also a perfect salad.

Ingredients

 

Tomatoes -  4 - finely chopped

Onion - 1 small - finely chopped

Cilantro -   finely chopped - ⅓ cup

Sugar -  1 TSP - optional

Sesame seeds powder - 1 TBSP - optional

Salt to taste

 

Vegetable oil -  1 Tsp

Jeera / cumin seeds - ½ Tsp

Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp

Curry leaves - 4-5

Green chillies - 1 or 2 as per taste

Method

 

  1. Mix the finely chopped tomatoes , onions sugar , salt and optional sesame seeds powder.

  2. For the tempering heat the vegetable oil. Once hot add cumin seeds , hing powder , green chillies and curry leaves.

  3. Add the tempering to mixture. Mix well. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro . Serve with parathas , rice dishes or just as a salad.
