Ingredients For Tomato Basil Focaccia Bread Recipe –

  1. Maida – 3 cups
  2. Non-dairy plain milk  -1 +  ½  cups
  3. Salt – ¼ Tsp
  4. Yeast – 1 TBSP 
  5. Sugar – 2 Tsp
  6. Olive Oil – 4 TBSP
  7. Cherry tomatoes – cut into quarters –  8-10
  8. Basil leaves – randomly cut
  9. Onion – sliced – ½ 
  10. Garlic – chopped – 4-5 cloves
  11. Sea salt

Method For Vegan Tomato Basil Focaccia Bread Recipe – 

  1. In a stand mixer pot or a wide-mouthed pot, add ½ cup lukewarm non-dairy milk.
  2. Add sugar and yeast, and mix well. Set aside for 10 minutes or until the yeast activates.
  3. Add maida and salt, and knead into a soft dough.
  4. Add 3 TBSP olive oil and knead for 8-10 minutes.
  5. After kneading, shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl.
  6. Cover the bowl and let the doughproof in a warm place for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  7. Take a square 8-inch baking pan and grease it with olive oil.
  8. Stretch the dough to fit the baking pan and adjust it accordingly.
  9. Add chopped garlic, basil leaves, cherry tomatoes, and sliced onions on top of the dough.
  10. Press the toppings into the dough and make impressions with your fingers.
  11. Pour 1 TBSP olive oil over the toppings and sprinkle some sea salt on top.
  12. Cover the pan and let it undergo a second proofing for another 40-45 minutes or until the dough rises to the top.
  13. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  14. Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until it turns a nice golden color.
  15. While the bread is still hot, dab it with olive oil to soften the crust.
  16. Your gorgeous, yummy vegetable bread is now ready to be enjoyed!
