Ingredients For Vegan Tofu Recipe

  1.  Palak / Spinach – 1 Packet / bunch
  2.  Onion – finely chopped – 1/2
  3.  Tomato – finely chopped – 1
  4. ginger garlic paste – 1 TBSP
  5.  Turmeric powder – 1/4 Tsp
  6.  Red chilli powder – 1/2 Tsp
  7.  coriander- cumin powder – 1 Tsp
  8.  Garam Masala powder- 1 Tsp
  9.  Asafoetida – 1/4 Tsp
  10.  tofu – medium size pieces – 1 cup
  11.  Vegetable oil – 1 TBSP
  12.  Salt to taste.
  13.  Water – 1 cup

How To Make vegan Tofu Recipe Step By Step Instruction

InstaPot​

  1.  Instapot on saute mode. Add oil. Once hot add Asafoetida .
  2.  Add onions . Saute till translucent.
  3.  Add ginger-garlic paste . Saute for couple of minutes.
  4.  Add tomatoes and pinch of salt. Saute till tomatoes get nicely mushy.
  5.  Add turmeric powder , red chili powder , coriander-cumin powder , garam masala powder. Mix well.
  6.  Add spinach leaves. Mix well.
  7.  Close lid . Pressure cooker mode for 6 minutes. Steam sealed.
  8.  Release the steam. Get the pot out. Let it settle for couple of minutes. Blend in a smooth puree using a hand blender alternatively you can blend it in a blender, but for that you need to cool down the mixture .
  9.  Put insta pot on saute mode low. Add Tofu and adjust salt. Add water to adjust consistency.
  10.  Boil fo 4-5 minutes. Serve hot with roti or rice.

Kadai –

  1.  Pressure cook spinach in pressure cooker for 1 whistle. Once cool down blend in a smooth puree using a hand blender or mixer.
  2. In a pan add oil. Once hot add Asafoetida .
  3.  Add onions . Saute till translucent.
  4.  Add ginger-garlic paste . Saute for couple of minutes.
  5.  Add tomatoes and pinch of salt. Saute till tomatoes get nicely mushy.
  6.  Add turmeric powder , red chili powder , coriander-cumin powder , garam masala powder. Mix well.
  7.  Add spinach puree. Mix well.
  8.  Add Tofu and adjust salt. Add water to adjust consistency.
  9.  cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.
