- Tomato – roughly chopped – 1
- Garlic – 3-4 cloves
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Vegetable oil – 2 TBSP
- Bay leaf – 1
- Cloves – 3-4
- Pepper cons – 4-5
- Turmeric powder – 1 Tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 Tsp
- Cumin powder – 1 Tsp
- Garam masala – 1 Tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water – ½ cup
- Coconut cream – 2 TBSP – optional
- Kasuri Methi – 1 TBSP
- Finely chopped cilantro
Method For Preparing Vegan Sabz Handi Recipe
For the Masala:
- Place a pan on medium heat. Once hot, add 1 TBSP of vegetable oil.
- Add chopped onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chopped garlic and ginger. Continue to sauté.
- Add chopped tomatoes and sauté until they turn mushy.
- Transfer this mixture to a grinder jar and grind it into a fine paste.
For the Gravy:
- In the same pan, add 1 TBSP of vegetable oil.
- Add bay leaf, cloves, and peppercorns.
