- Rajma - Soaked overnight - 1 and 1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
- Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
- Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Ginger - garlic paste - TBSP
- Onion - finely chopped - 1
- Tomato - puree - 2 big tomatoes
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 Tsp
- Garam Masala - 1 TBSP
- Salt to taste
- Water - 2-3 cups
How to Make homemade veganrajma masala Recipe Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a pressure cooker add soaked rajma , salt and water . Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles .
- In a Pot add oil. Once hot add cumin seeds , hing powder , ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Add onions and saute till they turn translucent .
- Add turmeric powder , red chili powder , garam masala powder and saute for another minute or two.
- Add tomato puree and saute well till the sides start to leave oil.
- Add cooked Rajma along with the water. Mix well. Add salt to taste and mix well. Simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
- Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice.
