Ingredients For Vegan jeera Rice recipe
- Rice - Basmati or long grain - 1/2 cup
- Onion - finely slit - 1
- Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
- Cinnamon stick - 1/2 inch -1
- Bay leaf - 1
- Cumin seeds / Jeera - 2 Tsp
- Hing powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water - 2-3 cups
- Finely chopped cilantro for garnishing.
Method -

- Wash the rice and soak it in water for 30-40 minutes.
- Cooking the rice:
- Boil 2-3 cups of water in a pot.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to the boiling water.
