Ingredients For Vegan Undluka
Rice Balls -
- rice flour - 1/2 cup
- water - 1/2 cup
- salt - 1/4 Tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 tsp
Chav -
- freshly grated coconut - 1 cup
- Jaggery - grated - 1/2 cup
- sugar - 1/4 cup
- cardamom powder - 1/2 Tsp
Method For Preparing Vegan Undluka recipe
Rice Balls-
- Bring a pot of water to boil and add salt and vegetable oil to it.
- Slowly add rice flour to the pot while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Switch off the heat and cover the mixture, letting it rest for 3-4 minutes.
- Mix the dough well while it's still hot, making sure there are no lumps.
- Knead the dough until it's soft, then make small pearl size balls.
- Grease an idli pan and heat water in an idli pot.
- Place the pearl size balls in the idli pan and steam them for 15 minutes on medium flame.
Chav -
- Mix the coconut , jaggery , sugar and mix well. Cook the mixture on medium flame till it starts leaving the sides dry.
- Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add the cooked rice balls to coconut mixture and mix well.
