Method For Preparing Vegan Tofu Paratha
For the dough:
- Take the flour in a bowl, add salt and oil and mix well. Make a soft dough by adding enough water. Cover and keep aside.
For the stuffing:
- Add grated tofu, onion , caraway seeds, coriander cumin powder , turmeric powder , red chili powder , amchur powder , salt , finely chopped cilantro and mix well.
For the Paratha:
- Take a small portion of the dough and shape it into a ball. Flatten the ball slightly.
- Place approximately 2 tablespoons of the stuffing onto the flattened dough, ensuring that the filling is completely concealed within the dough.
- Dust the ball with some dry flour to prevent sticking and gently roll it out using a rolling pin. Be cautious not to apply too much pressure, as it may cause the filling to come out.
- Roll the dough into a medium-thickness paratha, similar to the thickness of a pancake.
- Heat a griddle, skillet, or non-stick pan over medium heat. Dry roast the paratha on the heated surface.
- Flip the paratha and apply a small amount of oil or butter on both sides. Continue cooking until both sides turn golden brown and crisp.
- Remove the paratha from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining dough and stuffing.
