Ingredients For Vegan Besan Dinka Laddu
- Besan / Chickpea flour - 1 cup
- Nachni / Ragi flour - 1/2 cup
- Edible Gum - 1/4 cup
- Powdered sugar - 1 and 1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil - 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 Tsp
- Raisins - 1 TBSP
How To Make Vegan Besan Dinka Laddu : Step By Step Instructions
- To a wok add cup vegetable oil. Warm it up. Add edible gum to it and roast till the gum puffs up. Remove the gum and cool it down. Grind in a fine powder in a mixer/blender.
- Add remaining oil to the wok and add besan / chickpea flour. Saute on low flame till it turns golden brown .Add ragi flour to it and saute till it releases nutty flavor.
- Let the mixture cool down. Once warm add sugar , cardamom powder , and raisins. Mix well.
- Make into small or medium size balls . Optionally garnish with your choice of almond or cashew nut .
