Ingredients For Batata Kachrya
- Potato - finely cubed - 4-5
- Onion - finely chopped - 1
- Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
- Mustard seeds / mohri - 1 Tsp
- Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Tsp
- Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 Tsp
- Salt to taste.
Method
- Heat a pan on medium heat and add oil.
- Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter , add the cumin seeds and
- hing powder.
- Add finely chopped onions and saute well and cook till onions turn translucent .
- Add turmeric powder , red chilli powder , salt to taste and mix well.
- Add potatoes and mix well. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes.
- Garnish with finely chopped cilantro. Serve hot with roti.
