Ingredients - 

  1. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP

  2. Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp

  3. Asafoetida / Hing - ¼ Tsp

  4. Green Chilies - slit half - 2

  5. Curry Leaves - 8-10

  6. Sunflower seeds - ¼ cup

  7. Coconut powder - ¼ cup

  8. Sesame seeds powder - ¼ cup

  9. Tamarind pulp - ¼ cup

  10. Jaggery - ½ cup

  11. Turmeric powder - ½ Tsp 

  12. Goda Masala (Maharashtrian Kala Masala) - 1 TBSP

  13. Water - 1 Cup

  14. Salt to taste.

 

Method:

 

  1. In a pan, heat some oil. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, green chillies,sunflower seeds & coconut powder , sesame seeds powder. Mix everything well.

  2. Then add tamarind pulp, jaggery, water and salt. Mix everything well till the jaggery dissolves.Then add turmeric and Goda masala. Mix everything well.

  3. Panchamrut is ready to be served.

Khirapad - 

 

Ingredients  - 

 

  1. Poppy seeds - 1 TBSP

  2. Coconut powder - ¼ cup

  3. Rock sugar / Khadi sakhar - ¼ cup

  4. Sunflower seeds - 1 TBSP 

  5. Cardamom powder - ¼ Tsp

 

Method - 


 

  1. Heat a pan on medium heat. Add poppy seeds.  Roast the seeds for 2 -3 minutes until it gets reddish colour. Transfer the poppy seeds in a blender pot. Grind it into a coarse powder.  

  2. Roast the grated coconut on low heat for 4 – 5 minutes. Transfer the roasted coconut into the blender pot. Add khadi sakhar. Blend it into a coarse powder. 

  3. Remove the mixture into a bowl. Add sunflower seeds and cardamom powder. Mix well. Your khirapad is ready.
