Ingredients –

  • Rolled Oats: ½ cup
  • Non-dairy milk (such as oat milk): 1 cup
  • Chia seeds: 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder: 1 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Grated cucumber: 1
  • Grated carrot: 1 or ½
  • Vegetable oil: 1 tsp
  • Urad dal: 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds: ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds: ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves: 7-8

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix rolled oats, chia seeds, black pepper powder, salt, and non-dairy milk together. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. The next morning, give it a quick mix. Add grated cucumber and carrot.
  3. For the tadka (tempering), heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Once the seeds start spluttering, pour the hot tadka over the oats.
  4. Mix well, and your perfect breakfast for hot summers is ready to be enjoyed!

Kesar-Elaichi Overnight Oats Recipe Ingredients:

Ingredients –

  • Rolled Oats: ½ cup
  • Non-dairy milk (such as oat milk): 1 cup
  • Chia seeds: 1 tsp
  • Kesar (saffron): 4-5 strands
  • Elaichi (cardamom) powder: ½ tsp
  • Salt: ¼ tsp
  • Any sweetener (such as maple syrup): 1 tbsp
  • Freshly cut mango (or any fruit of your choice)

Method for Kesar-Elaichi Overnight Oats:

  1. In a bowl, mix rolled oats, chia seeds, kesar, elaichi powder, salt, maple syrup, and non-dairy milk together. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. The next morning, give it a quick mix. The oats will be soaked well and have a creamy texture.
