Methi Akki Roti / Glutenfree Methi Paratha

Ingredients - 

 

  1. Rice flour - 1 cup

  2. Fresh Methi leaves  - 1 cup

  3. Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - ½ Tsp

  4. Ginger - Garlic paste - 1 Tsp

  5. Green chilies paste - 1 Tsp

  6. Onion - finely chopped - ½ 

  7. Cumin seeds / Jeera - ½ Tsp

  8. Salt to taste

  9. Water - ¼ cup

  10. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP

Method - 

 

  1. In a pot , add rice flour , ginger garlic paste , green chilies paste , turmeric powder , cumin seeds , fresh methi leaves and salt. Mix well. Add water as needed and knead into a soft dough. Cover and keep for 10-15 minutes.

  2. Take a butter paper  and place it on a rolling board. Take a dough ball and put it on butter paper and start flattening the dough into the circle with your palm like you are making a thalipeeth. Apply some water on your palm while making roti.

  3. Heat the griddle or pan on medium low flame. With the help of butter paper pick up the roti and place it on the griddle . Apply oil and roast on both sides till it gets nice golden brown spots .

  4. Serve hot with a chutney for your choice or ketchup.
