Ingredients: For Vegan Methamba Marathi Recipe
- Raw Mango / Kairi – ½ cup
- Vegetable oil – 1 TBSP
- Hing powder – ¼ Tsp
- Mustard seeds / mohri – 1 Tsp
- Methi seeds / Fenugreek seeds – 1 TBSP
- Turmeric powder / Haldi powder – 1 Tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 Tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water – ¼ cup
- Jaggery – ½ cup
How to Make Vegan Methamba Marathi Recipe Step-by-Step Instructions
- Heat a pan on medium heat and add oil.
- Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter , add hing powder. Add methi seeds , turmeric powder , red chilli powder. Mix well.
- Add cut raw mango and salt to taste. MIx well. Add water . Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes , till the raw mango gets cooked.
- Add jaggery and mix well. Cook on low flame till the jaggery melts and mixes well.
- Store in an airtight jar and refrigerate. Remains good for more about a month. Can be enjoyed as a side dish for paratha or just sabji and roti.
