Ingredients - 

 

1. Gavar / Cluster beans  - chopped - 2 cups

2.  Potato - cubed - ½ cup

3. Onion - finely chopped - 1

4. Black mustard seeds - 1 Tsp

5. cumin seeds - 1 Tsp

6. Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp

7. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

8. Red Chilli powder - 1 Tsp

9 . Goda Masala or Garam Masala - 1 TBSP

10. Vegetable Oil - 1 TBSP

11. Salt to taste.

12. Jaggery - ½ Tsp

13. Water - ½ cup 

14. Freshly grated coconut - ¼  cup

15. Freshly chopped cilantro for garnishing .

Method - 

 

1. Heat a Pan on medium flame. Once hot add oil.

2. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter , add cumin seeds and hing powder.

3. Add Onions and saute till they turn translucent.  

4. Add gavar and potato and mix well.

5. Add turmeric powder , chilli powder, goda or garam masala , salt to taste. Mix well and saute for another 2-3 minutes.

6. Add 2-3 TBSP water. Cover and let it cook till veggies are cooked .  Add freshly grated coconut and mix well. 

8. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and serve hot with roti or rice.
