Ingredients - 

 

  1. Dodka - cut into cubes - 2 cups

  2. Onion - finely chopped - 1

  3. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP

  4. Mustard seeds - 1 Tsp

  5. Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp

  6. Hing Powder - ¼ Tsp

  7. Chana dal - Soaked overnight - ¼ cup 

  8. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

  9. Red chili powder - 1 Tsp

  10. Goda Masala -  1 TBSP

  11. Salt to taste 

  12. Water - 2 TBSP 

Method - 

 

  1. Heat a pan / kadai on medium heat. Add oil. Once hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds , and hing powder. Add onion and saute till they turn translucent. Add soaked chana dal. Saute for 1-2 minutes. 

  2. Add turmeric powder , red chili powder , goda masala , salt to taste . Mix well . Add cut dodka/turai and mix. Add 1-2 TBSP water . Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes , till the veggies are cooked. 

  3. Serve hot with roti or rice.
