Bread Upama

Nothing like a hot breakfast to start a day. This one makes it right to the mark for healthy , easy , quick breakfast option.

Ingredients

1. Bread slices -  7-8 - made into small pieces.

2. Onion - 1 finely chopped

3. Tomato - 1 big - finely chopped.

4. Green chilles - 1-2

5. Black mustard seeds - 1 Tsp

6. cumin seeds - 1 Tsp

7. Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp

8. curry leaves -  4-5.

9.turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

10. Red chili powder - 1 Tsp

11.Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP.

12. Salt to taste.

13. Cilantro - finely chopped for garnishing.

Method

1. Heat a pan on medium heat. Once hot add Oil.

2. Once hot add black mustard seeds. Once splutter , add cumin seeds and hing powder. 

3. Add green chilies and curry leaves.

4. Add onions and saute till they turn translucent. 

5. Add tomatoes and saute till they turn mushy.

6. Add turmeric powder , red chili powder and salt to taste. Mix well and sauté the masala's for a minute.

7. Add bread pieces and mix well. Saute till the bread get a nice flavor from spices.

8. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and serve hot.
