Ingredients for Jeera Aloo -

 

  1. Potato - boiled and cut into pieces - 2 

  2. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP

  3. Jeera / cumin seeds - 2 Tsp

  4. Hing - 1 Tsp

  5. Whole red chilies - 2-3 

  6. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

  7. Red chili powder - 1 Tsp

  8. Salt to taste.

 

Method - Jeera Aloo 

  1. In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Once hot ,  add jeera , hing and whole red chilies. Give a quick stir.

  2. Add boiled potatoes and mix well. Add turmeric powder , chili powder , salt to taste and mix well. Simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes.

 

Ingredients for Aloo Capsicum  -

 

  1. Potato - boiled and cut into pieces - 2 

  2. Capsicum - cut in cubes - 1

  3. Tomato - cut in cubes - 1

  4. Onion - cut in cubes -1 

  5. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP

  6. Mohri / Mustard seeds - 1 Tsp

  7. Jeera / cumin seeds - 1 Tsp

  8. Hing - 1 Tsp

  9. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

  10. Red chili powder - 1 Tsp

  11. Coriander seeds powder -  1 Tsp

  12. Cumin seeds powder - ½ Tsp

  13. Salt to taste.

 

Method - Aloo Capsicum

  1. In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Once hot ,  add mustard seeds , jeera , hing. Add onion and saute till they turn translucent.

  2. Add capsicum and stir. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add boiled potatoes and mix well. Add turmeric powder , chili powder , coriander seeds powder , cumin seeds powder , salt to taste and mix well. 

  4. Add cut potatoes and mix well. Simmer on low heat for 5-7  minutes.


 

Ingredients for Aloo Palak  -

 

  1. Potato - boiled and cut into pieces - 2 

  2. Spinach - finely chopped  - 1 cup

  3. Tomato - cut in cubes - 1

  4. Onion - cut in cubes -1 

  5. Garlic - finely chopped - 2-3 cloves 

  6. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP

  7. Jeera / cumin seeds - 1 Tsp

  8. Hing - 1 Tsp

  9. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp

  10. Red chili powder - 1 Tsp

  11. Salt to taste.

 

Method - Aloo Palak

  1. In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Once hot ,  add  jeera , hing. Add onion and saute till they turn translucent. Add tomatoes and salt to taste. Saute till they turn mushy.

  2. Add spinach and boiled potato mix well .

  3.  Add turmeric powder , chili powder , and mix well. 

  4. Simmer on low heat for 5-7  minutes.
