Aloo Toast

Ingredients - 

 

  1. Potatoes - boiled  -  2 

  2. Turmeric powder - ½ Tsp 

  3. Red chili powder - ½ Tsp 

  4. Coriander cumin seeds powder - 1 Tsp

  5. Garam Masala - 1 Tsp

  6. Coriander - finely chopped

  7. Salt to taste 

  8. Vegan Butter

  9. Bread slice  - 2

  10. Onion -  finely chopped 

  11. Tomato - finely chopped

  12. Tamarind - Dates chutney

  13. Sev

Method - 

 

  1. For Stuffing - Mash or grate the boiled potatoes.  Add turmeric powder , red chili powder , garam masala , salt to taste , finely chopped cilantro. Mix well.

  2. On the bread apply vegan butter on both sides. Apply a generous quantity of stuffing on one side of the bread.

  3. Heat a griddle or pan , Put the bread with stuffing side up . Roast till it gets golden brown . Take the bread off the pan on a chopping board. 

  4. Cut the toast in half. Garnish with finely chopped onion , tomatoes , finely chopped cilantro , tamarind dates, chutney and sev. Serve hot with your choice chutney or ketchup.
