Allergy-Free Patra Dhokla Recipe

  • Grease a steamer insert or cake pan. Arrange the patra and alu vadi in a single layer at the bottom of the pan.
  • Pour in the dhokla mix on the patra layer.
  • Boil water in a steamer. Place the cake pan in the steamer and cover with a lid. Steam the dhokla mix for 15 minutes on medium heat or until a knife comes out clear.

Allergy Tadka

  • Heat a Tadka pan on medium heat. Add oil. Once hot, add mustard seeds, hing powder, sesame seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, cilantro, and water.
  • Add sugar, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well and bring the water to a boil.
  • Remove the dhokla mix from the pan onto a dish. Pour in the tadka. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and freshly grated coconut.
  • Cut into perfect pieces and serve with your choice of chutney.
