Allergy free Val Papdi Bhaji Recipe

This Recipe is free from :

  • Wheat
  • Peanuts
  • tree nuts
  • dairy
  • casein
  • soy
  • egg
  • sesame
  • fish
  • shellfish

Ingredients –

  1.  Val papdi/ Broad beans – chopped – 2 cups
  2.  Potato – cubed – ½ cup
  3.  Black mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
  4.  cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
  5.  Hing powder – 1/4 Tsp
  6.  Turmeric powder – 1 Tsp
  7.  Red Chilli powder – 1 Tsp
  8.  Goda Masala or Garam Masala – 1 TBSP
  9.  Vegetable Oil – 1 TBSP
  10.  Salt to taste.
  11.  Jaggery – ½ Tsp

Method –

  1. Heat a Pan on medium flame. Once hot add oil.
  2.  Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter , add cumin seeds and hing powder.
  3.  Add papdi and potato and mix well.
  4.  Add turmeric powder , chilli powder, goda or garam masala , salt to taste. Mix well and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
  5.  Cover and let it cook till veggies are cooked .
  6.  Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and serve hot with roti or rice.
